Can it CRUD enable any Database?

Data Façade is tested on Oracle,SQL Server, DB2 and JDBC/ODBC bridged databases. It comes with the necessary JDBC drivers for those. However it should be able to handle any JDBC compliant database, provided that appropriate JDBC Drivers are installed in the classpath.

How is it different from other CRUD frameworks such as "Google Krank", "Ruby on Rails"?

Other frameworks out there requires you to write configuration xmls files or write java code with annotations and then typically generate web application. Data Façade by it self is a self contained Web Application and all you do is create/manupulate "DBObjects" thru the web interface it self and you'll have up and running CRUD interface with master detail model in minutes. There is no code generation, deployemnt and so on. It's "On Demand Delivery". Database connection pooling, Role Based Acess control, Lookups, Simple Natural Validations are pre-built into the system. With Data Façade unless you need customized actions or elaborate validation capabilities, you will not write a single line of code or configuration document.

Can we change the look and feel?

Yes, to some extend. Most of the styles are stored in the database and can be changed. Log in as an Adminitstrator and go to Config->Initial Setup->Look & Feel to edit various aspects
